Because Belle (the pit mix) has a lot of allergies and Rori and I like to cook we have been experimenting with dog treat recipes. I like the Dog Treat Kitchen recipes the best (you can find them here: http://www.dogtreatkitchen.com). We actually used one of their recipes to create our own fruity treat that JJ and Beau both love. Belle can't eat them because they aren't wheat free. So I have decided to share this recipe with you.

JJ's Favorite Treats
- 1 cup flour
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 cup applesauce, unsweetened
- 1 handful dried cranberries
- 6 or 7 dried apricots diced
- 2 eggs
- 3 tbsp honey
- Preheat oven to 350 ° F
- In a medium bowl, stir together the flour, rolled oats, and cinnamon.
- In a small bowl, combine the applesauce, apricots, eggs, cranberries, and honey.
- Make a well in the medium bowl and pour in the applesauce mixture.
- Mix thoroughly until well combined.
- Lightly spray a baking sheet with cooking spray or line with parchment paper.
- Drop teaspoon sized clusters on the baking sheet.
- Bake for 20 minutes, or until golden brown.
JJ really loves these and baking them makes the house smell great. Also you can eat these with your dog as there is nothing that is not in a normal human cookie.
